Taylor County Sheriff John Shipp is recovering at Audubon Hospital in Louisville after suffering a heart attack.

A retirement ceremony for Capt. Damon E. Allen Jr. of the United States Navy Reserve was June 3 at Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center in Plainville, Conn.

Don Dabney Jr. with Dabney Engineering and Land Surveying has received an employer recognition award from the Kentucky Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.
