Eagles soar away from 15-15 tie, dump Cards 62-40

CHS clinches No. 1 district tourney seed.

Campbellsville broke loose from a 15-15 deadlock in the second quarter with an 11-2 run and sewed up the No. 1 seed in the 20th District Tourney with a 62-40 home victory over Taylor County on Sunday.

Bryton Taylor led four Eagles in double figures with 18 points while Aaron Schwoebel and Thomas Downs had 11 apiece and Jordan Percell 10. Schwoebel also had 11 boards. Lloyd Stotts scored 17 for the Cardinals.

Taylor County rebounded to upend Hart County 65-47 behind Tyler Moss’ 15 points and seven assists.
