CHS boys lose in overtime at Meade, down the stretch at Adair

By Bobby Brockman

Campbellsville lost a pair of close encounters to see their season record slide to 0-4 in high school basketball.
“We’re improving some,” offered a disappointed Tim Davis. “We had the lead then went about nine minutes (3 1/2 minutes left in the first quarter until 5 1/2 minutes before half) without scoring.”
The Indians led 29-16 at the intermission and 36-26 going to the final eight minutes.
“We cut it to three (43-40) with the ball and about two minutes left,” Davis continued. “But, we threw it away and they hit about a 25-foot 3-pointer.
“Then, we couldn’t score and had to foul.”
Matt Fudge and Zack Hutchison paced the Indians with 14 and 12 points, respectively, and connected on four of Adair County’s six treys.
A.J. Vaught paced Campbellsville with 15 points while Austin Hash added 10.
