Eagles drop fifth-place game at Breck

After picking up first triumph over Grayson

Campbellsville High’s Eagles notched their first victory this season 63-62 on Sunday night in the Farmers Bank Classic at Breckinridge County.
CHS built a 15-point half-time cushion, but had to fight off a 30-16 run by Grayson County in the fourth frame.
Damontez Smith paced coach Tim Davis’ team with 18 points and 10 rebounds while eighth-grader Tyrion Taylor scored 11 and Austin Hash had seven boards.
The Eagles dropped their tourney opener to the host squad 63-62 with A.J. Vaught scoring 10 points.

Eagles drop fifth-place tilt to Central Hardin

Campbellsville’s second battle with Central Hardin did not come out any better than the first as the Eagles lost 81-57 to the Bruins in the fifth-place encounter of the Farmers Bank Classic at Breckinridge County on Monday night.
The Eagles, who had lost to Central Hardin 68-33 at home on Dec. 7, were crushed 25-12 in the second quarter.
Damontez Smith led Campbellsville, who hosted its 19th Annual Holiday Classic over the weekend, with 12 points.
