Driver attempts to abduct, assault woman

Campbellsville Police Department investigated a report on Monday of an attempted abduction and sexual assault on Old Greensburg Road.

According to a Campbellsville Police news release, at about 2 p.m., officers received a call reporting an incident on Old Greensburg Road.

The release states that a female resident was walking home from work along Old Greensburg Road and was approached by a male driving a silver or gray Lincoln four-door sedan with Kentucky registration plates bearing a Nelson County decal.
