Dr. Asser El-Atfy recently became certified in sleep medicine as part of the American Board of Internal Medicine. This certification is his second board certification in sleep medicine through the ABIM.
His previous certification was achieved in 2005 through the American Board of Sleep Medicine. El-Atfy's board certifications now include critical care medicine, sleep medicine, pulmonary diseases and internal medicine.
The American Board of Internal Medicine is the U.S. board that sets the standards and certifies the knowledge, skills and attitudes of physicians who practice in internal medicine, its subspecialties and areas of added qualifications. Physicians who successfully complete and maintain certification have demonstrated the ability and the commitment to lifelong learning necessary to provide the high quality of medical care that every patient deserves.
El-Atfy is on the active medical staff at Taylor Regional Hospital and is medical director for the sleep lab located at TRH. His office is currently located at 603A Columbia Highway in Greensburg.
However, El-Atfy will be moving his office to 67 Kingswood Drive in Campbellsville after renovations are completed in this building. The sleep lab, as well as his office space, will be located at this address.
