Downtown development booming

There's new life in downtown Campbellsville.

With several new businesses already open and several more in the works, many say Main Street has been revived.

The former Merchants Hotel, now known as Merchant Tower, is being remodeled. Business owner Jack Pogue and Taylor County Judge/Executive Eddie Rogers converted space above a business into an apartment, and several more property owners are following suit. Several businesses have taken advantage of Renaissance façade grants. A new restaurant is slated to open in September. Several businesses have either opened or relocated downtown.
