Taylor County Junior Miss/Distinguished Young Women participants took part in the "Be Your Best Self" program at Kentucky Christian Academy on Monday, Aug. 13.
The "Be Your Best Self" program allows Distinguished Young Women participants to reach out and encourage young people in our local community to make a commitment to being their best selves in areas such as academics, physical fitness, morality, character and social and civic participation.
Participants were able to teach an academic lesson to Kentucky Christian Academy students that focused on one of the best selves areas.
The Taylor County Junior Miss/Distinguished Young Women's Scholarship Program will be Saturday, Aug. 25, at Campbellsville High School's Hamilton Auditorium at 7 p.m. Seventeen young ladies will compete in the program themed "Brighter than the Sun.”
Participants will compete for cash and tuition scholarships.
Donations to the Taylor County Junior Miss/Distinguished Young Women's scholarship fund are still needed. Those interested can contact Shelly Miller, Susan Dabney or Angie Russell.
