Decent, sober people should help defeat alcohol

-A A +A
By The Staff

Considering the horrible memories and nightmares that everyone must have who have lost family members and friends to alcohol related accidents, I cannot believe anyone would believe that this community would prosper by catering to the boozers.

The only thing in the community that will prosper more will be the bank accounts of the few that sell such products. While the alcohol that your car is hooked on is expensive, it's nothing compared to alcohol that the boozer has to have to make a complete meal. I doubt if there would be a mad rush to Campbellsville to have alcohol with that great meal.

Every time these great prosperity talkers try to import another one of their smart ideas, we hear the same old line and sales pitch about prosperity. They said a lottery would be great. Riverboat gambling would be great. Off-track betting would be great. Even abortion makes the bank accounts of clinics and doctors who kill the unborn babies prosper.

I hope and pray that enough decent, sober, level-headed people will go to the polls May 20 and vote NO to alcohol sales in Campbellsville, Ky. restaurants!
