Campbellsville High School rode the 38-point performance of senior Matthew Davis to roll past Green County on the road 65-48 on Saturday night.
The Eagles (9-4) trailed 12-9 after two Skyler Shively free throws with 1:49 left in the opening quarter.
But, Davis, who scored two early baskets, had two late ones to send CHS to the second frame up 15-12.
Davis, who became the boys’ 16th member of the 1,000-point club with his 29 point, tallied 13 points in the second quarter, 11 more in the third period and three steals and lay-ups in the fourth frame.
Fellow Eagle seniors Jordan Percell and Taylor Levi added 13 and 10 points, respectively, for coach Tim Davis’ team.
The Eagles try to avenge an earlier-season loss when they host Marion County on Friday in a JV-varsity twinbill starting at 6 p.m.
