Campbellsville University is one of 137 colleges and universities nationwide to be recognized as "America's Best Christian Colleges."

The independent research/consulting organization, Institutional Research & Evaluation, compiled this 11th annual listing based on analysis and review of its Annual National College Survey.

Just prior to having been named to America's Best Christian Colleges, CU received its highest-ever ranking in U.S.News & World Report's 2008 "America's Best Colleges" issue. The magazine named CU 22nd in the best baccalaureate colleges in the south category and eighth in the "Great Schools, Great Prices" category.

"What a wonderful way to begin a second century of Christian higher education," said Dr. Michael V. Carter, CU president. "These rankings help to validate the emphasis placed on educating the total student at Campbellsville University."

In order to qualify for America's Best Christian Colleges, an institution must be an accredited, four-year school offering bachelor degrees, full residential facilities, have a 2006 freshman class with GPA and or ACT/SAT scores above or equal to the national average, and be affiliated with a recognized Christian denomination.
