Campbellsville University is hosting "A Day of Giving" on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Other partners are radio stations Q-104 and K-Country 105.7; Asbury United Methodist Church and The GADDCO Group.
"A Day of Giving" is a food drive for the Taylor County Food Pantry at Green River Ministries.
Canned food and other non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at CU's parking lot on the corner of Broadway and Columbia avenues, located next to the School of Nursing.
Barb Smith, station manager at Q-104, said there was a discussion about the need, especially nearing the holidays, to help the Taylor County Food Pantry.
CU agreed to partner with the radio stations and provide the drop off location, along with a truck to house and transport the donations for the day.
"Q-104 and K-Country 105.7 will be on the air, throughout the day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., encouraging folks to drop off donations," Smith said.
Rob Roberts, director of grounds and landscape development at CU, said "We're glad to help the food drive in any way we can by providing the location and trucks to transport the donated food items."
The goal of the "Day of Giving" is to fill the truck with 10,000 pounds of food in canned goods and non-perishables.
Financial donations are also accepted.
