Campbellsville University will host its annual Valentine pageant tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall of Gosser Fine Arts Center.
Nine students will be representing CU, their organization and the ONE campaign, a nationwide organization that seeks to help eliminate poverty, as they vie for the title of 2008 CU Valentine queen.
The pageant is sponsored by the Student Government Association, and the SGA asks that individuals show their support through attendance and by bringing a non-perishable canned good for the ONE campaign.
The event is free and open to the public.
The candidates for 2008 Valentine queen are: Jessica Kamaunu of Radcliff, representing the senior class; Anna Marie Johnson of Campbellsville, representing Baptist Campus Ministry; Brittany Hall of Lawrenceburg, representing the SGA; Nicole Wilcox of Vine Grove, representing the junior class; Sarah Sprague of Elizabethtown, representing the art club;
Laura Clark of Bowling Green, representing the Admissions Office student interns; Andrea Fielding of Campbellsville, representing the Kentucky Education Association Student Program; Lauren Shrader of West Chester, Ohio, representing the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; and Miranda Meeks of Princeton, representing Sigma Nu Pi.
