CU hires clinical nursing instructor

Campbellsville University

Jacquelyn Young of Campbellsville has been employed as a clinical nursing instructor at Campbellsville University, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.

Young is a 2003 graduate of Taylor County High School.

Young received an associate degree in nursing from Campbellsville University in 2008 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2010 from Indiana Wesleyan. She is working toward a Master of Science degree in nursing at Walden University with an anticipated graduation date of December.

Young has served as a registered nurse at Taylor Regional Hospital and adjunct clinical nursing instructor.

She is a member of the Republican's Women's Club and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.

She is certified in advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and basic life support cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

She has also traveled with CU's School of Nursing to Haiti for a mission trip.

Young is the daughter of Jack and Paul Hall and Susan DeSpain. She is married to Tyler Young and they have a daughter, Kynleigh.
