Campbellsville University has announced its annual academic scholarship recipients for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Tessa Daffron, recipient of the Academic Scholarship for $6,000; Jordon Davis, recipient of the Special Recognition Scholarship for $5,000; Chyenne Farris, recipient of the Academic Scholarship for $6,000; Lauren Stapp, recipient of the Academic Scholarship for $6,000; and Shawn Myers, recipient of the Heartland Award for $2,500.

Scholarship awards are based upon students' ACT or SAT scores combined with their GPA and class rankings.

The Presidential Scholarship is for full tuition and is awarded to five students each year. Students qualify to compete if they have at least a combination of 3.5 GPA and 30 and 1980 on ACT or SAT, respectively.

The Presidential Excellence Scholarship is for students who have at least a 3.5 GPA and 33 or 2170 on ACT or SAT, respectively. This scholarship is awarded to one student each year and is for full tuition plus room and board.

The Governor Scholar Scholarship is for students who participated on the Governor Scholar program and have a 3.5 GPA and a 25 or 1720 on ACT or SAT, respectively.
