Inmates at Taylor County's new detention center will have to pay $15 a day, among other fees.
Jail fees and medical and food contracts were discussed at Tuesday night's regular Fiscal Court meeting.
Jailer Rick Benningfield told magistrates that Taylor County currently pays Marion County $27 a day to house each of Taylor County's inmates. In return, he said, those inmates pay nothing.
According to Kentucky Law, Benningfield said, inmates are supposed to reimburse counties for their incarceration costs and medical expenses.
