County under severe thunderstorm watch

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Central Kentucky, which includes Taylor County, effective until 8 p.m.

According to a Taylor County Emergency Management news release, severe thunderstorms are starting to develop throughout west Central Kentucky.

Thunderstorm gusts of 70 mph and golfball size hail are possible.
