CMS takes third in Governor's Cup

Campbellsville Middle School took third place in the recent District Governor's Cup Competition while Taylor County came in fourth.

Adair and Green county middle schools also participated. Green County took first, and Adair County was second.

Following are the students who earned placing, their school and the events in which they competed:

Mathematics assessment - Brandon Carter, first, GCMS; Murphy Lanham, second, CMS; Alex Lawson, third, TCMS; Kathryn Heineman, fourth, CMS; and Jack Hobbs, fifth, ACMS.

Science assessment - Michael Tucker, first, GCMS; Logan Barnes, second, ACMS; Alex Hezik, third (tie), TCMS; Wesley Patterson, third (tie), GCMS; and Dylan Claiborne, fifth, ACMS.

Composition - Annette Dangerfield, first, GCMS; Melanie Alexander, second (tie), ACMS; Kyle Mann, second (tie), ACMS; Samantha Rogers, fourth, CMS; and Callee Nunn, fifth, GCMS.

Future Problem Solving Team - Green County, first; Adair County, second; and Campbellsville, third.

Quick Recall Team - Green, first; Taylor, second; Campbellsville, third; and Adair, fourth.

Social Studies Assessment - Jacob Stotts, first, TCMS; Blake Aaron, second, ACMS; Wesley Patterson, third, GCMS; Mackenzie DeSpain, TCMS, and Michael Tucker, GCMS, tied for fourth.

Language Arts Assessment - Annette Dangerfield, first, GCMS; Melanie Alexander, second, ACMS; Jessica Hall, third, CMS; Breanne Underwood, fourth, CMS; and Faith VanMeter, fifth, GCMS.
