CMS Eagles score last for 20-14 triumph

In CKMSAC football play-off win over Taylor County.

Campbellsville Middle School tallied two of three touchdowns in a two-minute stretch to upend visiting Taylor County 20-14 in the Central Kentucky Middle School Athletic Conference play-offs on Tuesday.
The Eagles (9-3) scored the only first-half touchdown when Shay Stone connected with Austin Hash from 33 yards out.
The Cardinals (5-5) took the lead with 3:24 left in the third quarter on Quentin Goodin’s 28-yard pass to Jarred Rogers and Goodin’s two-point conversion run.
In the see-saw two-minute, fourth-period gap, CMS went back on top when Stone found Kendon Young for a 30-yard tally at 5:12.
TCMS quickly responded as Connor South went around left end for a 51-yard jaunt to pay dirt at 4:14.
The Eagles scored the game-winner when Stone found Young down the left sideline for a 61-yard TD at 3:06.
Campbellsville will host  the CKMSAC Bowl Game on Saturday (6:00) against Hart County, a 32-20 victor over Green County.
