CMS cannot add bowl title to regular-season crown

LaRue County downs Eagles 14-12 in OT

Campbellsville Middle School won the regular-season Central Kentucky Middle School Athletic Conference football championship, but fell 14-12 in overtime to LaRue County in the CKMSAC Bowl Game on Saturday night.
The Eagles took a 6-0 lead in the second quarter on a 7-yard pass from Tyrion Taylor to Tristan Johnson. However, the visiting Hawks knotted the score two minutes later and the game stayed tied throughout regulation.
In overtime, LaRue County scored on a Bryson Cobb 10-yard run and a Dean Milby conversion to lead  14-6. CMS could not convert the two-pointer after Taylor hooked up with Dejhon Irvin for an 8-yard score. The 11-1 Eagles are coached by Bronson Gowdy, Aaron Webb, Stephen Tucker, Will Griffin, Isaiah Perkins and Robbie Lamer.
