William Conrad and Dorothy Lee Claycomb will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday with their children.
The Claycombs were married on Sept. 17, 1943, by Bro. Olaf Anderson in Lebanon at the manse of the Presbyterian church.
Mr. Claycomb is retired from T.G.T. after 38 years of work, and Mrs. Claycomb is retired from Fruit of the Loom after 26 years.
The Claycombs have three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Alan and Darlene Claycomb and Jackie Lee and Ruth Claycomb, all of Harrodsburg, and William "Billy" Conrad Jr. and Debbie Claycomb of Campbellsville; and a daughter and son-in-law, Connie Jo Claycomb and Billy Wright of Greensburg. A daughter, Peggy Diane Claycomb, is deceased.
They also have four grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Ricky and Lisa Claycomb of Campbellsville, Troy and Elizabeth Wright of Greensburg, Scott and Heather Claycomb and Jeffrey Claycomb, all of Lexington. In addition, the Claycombs have two great-granddaughters, Nicole Claycomb of Hodgenville and Brittany Claycomb of Campbellsville.
