Clay Marcum Field at Thomas Porter Stadium

Taylor County formerly dedicated the naming of its football stadium as Thomas Porter Stadium before the Cardinals' season opener on Aug. 29 vs. Monroe County.

The stadium is named in memory of Candace Porter's son who passed away in August, 2007.

Porter gets starting nod for Centre

Taylor County High School graduate Chase Porter drew the opening-game starting nod at running back in Centre College's 46-22 win over Hanover.

The 5-11, 211-pound junior gained 52 yards on 16 carries and caught four passes for 28 yards.
