The City says it can't help the County in balancing its jail budget.
At a special meeting last Wednesday, Campbellsville City Council members passed a resolution stating just that and also discussed the potential problems if the current occupational tax agreement with the County is broken.
The meeting was called to discuss the County's jail budget issues and a request from the County that the City contribute $90,000 each quarter for the next year, for a total of $360,000. A Fiscal Court committee made the request at a joint meeting with City officials two weeks ago.
