Circuit Court Action for June 18

It is the policy of the Central Kentucky News-Journal to publish public records as they are reported by various agencies. Names appearing in "Circuit Court Action" are published without exception, to preserve the fairness and impartiality of the CKNJ and as a news service to our readers.

On Taylor Circuit Court Judge Allan Bertram's May 19 docket:

- Carrie Joanna Despain, 25, of 280 Fuller Harding Road in Campbellsville, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking more than $300; prosecutor recommends five-year pretrial diversion and referral to Taylor County Drug Court program. Sentencing was set for June 16.

- Jared C. Fox, 21, of 200 B. Wingfield Court #35 in Elizabethtown, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary, amended from first-degree burglary; sentenced to five years in prison to be served at the same time as other sentences with credit given for 65 days already served; pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking less than $300, amended from more than $300, possession of burglary tools and second-degree criminal trespassing, sentenced to two years' probation; charge of being a second-degree persistent felony offender dismissed.

- Samuel Scott Jenkins Jr., 21, of 1142 Jenkins St. in Monticello, pleaded guilty to receiving more than $300 in stolen property, amended from second-degree burglary; sentenced to three years' probation; ordered to have no contact with victim and pay $479.44 in restitution.

- John Michael Milby, 19, of 211 Wickliffe Ave. in Campbellsville, pleaded guilty to first-degree possession of controlled substance, amended from selling controlled substance, possession of drug supplies and possession of marijuana; prosecutor recommends five years' probation. Sentencing was set for June 16.

- Melva Kay Sapp, 59, of 6818 Liberty Road in Campbellsville, identity theft charge dismissed without prejudice; defendant agreed to pay $650 and provide proof of employment.

- Cameron Michael Turner, 20, of 104 Eggers St. in Campbellsville, pleaded guilty to selling less than 5 pounds of marijuana and three counts of first-degree selling cocaine in four separate cases; prosecutor recommends six-year prison sentence and $2,580 in restitution to the Campbellsville Police Department Drug Elimination Fund. Sentencing is set for July 14.

- Howard Eugene Poling, 63, of 218 McNary St. in Campbellsville, pleaded guilty to tampering with physical evidence; granted two-year pretrial diversion; diversion set for review May 17, 2011, sentenced to a year in prison if fails terms.

- Sedgie Ray Daniels Jr., 25, of 512 Coakley St. in Campbellsville, sentenced to five years in prison, with credit given for 83 days already served, for violating terms of probation by being convicted of other crimes, failing to report to the probation and parole office and leaving the County without permission.

On Taylor Circuit Court Senior Status Judge Doughlas M. George's May 19 docket:

- Dawn Marie Osinger Jeffries, 32, of 102 Hill St. in Campbellsville, completed terms of a three-year pretrial diversion granted in May 2006 for theft by deception more than $300, charge dismissed.

- William H. Glenn, 64, of 135 G. Stephens Road in Columbia, pleaded guilty to driving on a license suspended for DUI, second or subsequent offense, and DUI, his third offense; prosecutor recommends three-year sentence with 60 days served in jail and the remainder probated. Sentencing was set for June 16.

- Anthony W. Hamilton Sr., 43, of 104 Roberta Court in Campbellsville, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree robbery, one count amended from first-degree charge; prosecutor recommends 10-year sentence, payment of $139 in restitution and to have no contact with Minit Mart. Sentencing was set for June 16.

- Kathy M. Hearon aka Kathy Pittman, 49, of 1306 Sycamore Loop, Lot 8, in Campbellsville, pleaded guilty to DUI and second- and third-degree possession of a controlled substance; prosecutor recommends two years' probation, $200 fine and license suspension for 30 days; first-degree possession of oxycodone dismissed. Sentencing is set for Dec. 8.

- Mandi M. Hite, 32, of 410 Walnut St., Apt. A, in Vevay, Ind., pleaded guilty to possession of drug supplies, second or subsequent offense; prosecutor recommends two-year sentence to be unsupervised if judge grants probation. Sentencing was set for June 16.

- Stewart Kent Huddleston, 42, of 301 Trabue, Apt. 107, in Columbia, sentenced to five years' probation on third-degree assault; ordered to pay $1,000 fine and serve 90 days in jail; credit given for 77 days already served.

- Jeffrey D. Karr, 54, of 109 Patterson Court in Campbellsville, sentenced to five years' probation on first-degree selling oxycodone; ordered to pay $1,000 fine; charge of being a first-degree persistent felony offender dismissed.

- Joshua David Wilson, 26, of 730 Wilsontown Road in Russell Springs, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking more than $300; granted five-year pretrial diversion and ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution to Amazon.com; diversion set for review May 20, 2014, sentenced to five years in prison if fails terms.

- Guy Anthony Wood, 23, of 286 Jayne Ave. in Campbellsville, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary, amended from second-degree burglary; granted five-year pretrial diversion and referred to Taylor County Drug Court program; diversion set for review May 20, 2014, sentenced to five years in prison if fails terms.
