Court records filed by Taylor Circuit Court Judge Allan Bertram on July 28:
-- Angel aka Angela Sandlin, 49, of 1739 Burress Road in Columbia, pleaded guilty on March 30 to five counts of second-degree criminal possession of forged checks; two-year pretrial diversion, to serve two years in prison if fails terms, ordered to pay $369.66 in restitution, final disposition set for March 20, 2012.
-- Mable Ruth Vaughn, 54, of 499 Dunnville Road in Dunnville, pleaded guilty on Dec. 22 to criminal facilitation to commit criminal syndication; five years in prison at the same time as sentences in Casey and Adair county cases, credit given for 15 days already served.
-- Daniel Nathan Aaron Blankenship, 25, of 300 Greenway Drive in Scottsburg, Ind., pleaded guilty on Dec. 22 to flagrant non-support; five-year pretrial diversion, to serve two years in prison if fails terms, ordered to remain current on child support payments, final disposition set for Dec. 16, 2014.
-- Mario Lamarr Thompson, 23, of 418 Bowman St. in Campbellsville, pleaded guilty on March 2 to third-degree assault, second-degree fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest; to serve two years in prison after he completes sentence in another case; charge of being a first-degree persistent felony offender and four counts of third-degree assault dismissed.
-- Rodney Dale Melson, 28, of 640 Green Hills in Columbia, five years' probation on March 2 on charge of theft by unlawful taking more than $300, pleaded guilty in December, 90 days in jail with credit given for 10 days already served, and pay $1,205 in restitution.
-- Vanessa Shirley Smith, 25, of 72 Anna Court in Campbellsville, sentenced to five years' probation on Jan. 5 on charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, a second or subsequent offense, pleaded guilty in November, to serve 20 days in jail; five years' probation after diversion was voided on charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance in another case, pleaded guilty in June 2007, for pleading guilty in other case.
-- Dalton William aka William Dalton Steward, 20, of 414 Pitman Ave. in Campbellsville, pleaded guilty Dec. 22 to second-degree robbery, sentenced to five years' probation, ordered to complete Taylor County Drug Court program and pay $103.55 in restitution; sentenced to five years' probation after having diversion revoked on charge of attempted first-degree criminal possession of a money order in another case, pleaded guilty in April 2009, for pleading guilty in other case.
-- Claude Bart Huckaby, 58, of 214 Douglas St. in Campbellsville, pleaded guilty on March 30 to first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug supplies, a second offense, five-year pretrial diversion, to serve five years in prison if fails terms, final disposition set for March 17, 2015.

-- Jeffrey R. Gurley, 24, of 816 N. Columbia Ave. in Campbellsville, avoided facing a jury trial by pleading guilty in seven cases to three counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, six counts of being a second-degree persistent felony offender, first-degree selling a controlled substance, criminal syndication, use and investment of drug-related income, selling a controlled substance in or near a school and intimidating a participant in a legal process, sentenced to five years' probation, ordered to forfeit items held as evidence and follow probation and parole guidelines; charges of possession of drug supplies and being a second-degree persistent felony offender dismissed.
