A lethargic start put Campbellsville High School into a hole they could never fully get out of and a 28-27 loss in the Eagles’ district opener at home to Williamsburg on Friday night.
The Eagles (3-4) trailed 22-0 early as sophomore quarterback Dalton Sizemore hooked up twice (13 and 16 yards) with freshman wide receiver Skyler Griffith around a nine-yard TD run by freshman Jefferson Patrick.
The Yellow Jackets also converted their first two two-point tries and led 22-0.
