Chick-fil-A Express will open on the Campbellsville University campus late this summer.
The chicken chain will be located in the Davenport Student Commons building. Pioneer Catering will operate the restaurant. Chick-fil-A Public Relations Coordinator Bernard Hendrix said the restaurant will be 2,500 to 2,800 square feet and seat about 100 people.
According to Otto Tennant, CU’s vice president for finance & administration, Chick-fil-A Express offers all of the chain’s chicken products, but doesn’t offer breakfast or ice cream.
“We hope to grow into full service,” he said.
Though located on CU’s campus, the restaurant will be open to the public and will also be open when school is out, Tennant said.
Chick-fil-A Express will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The restaurant will be closed on Sundays.
