Taylor County came from behind three times to defeat visiting Green County 7-6 on Thursday night.

The Cardinals (3-2) took a 2-1 lead in the third on Blake Dudgeon's RBI triple and took a 6-4 lead in the fifth on Wayne's bases-clearing single.

After the Dragons knotted the game in the top of the sixth, Dudgeon and Chase Roution singled him home in the bottom of the sixth.

Green County loaded the bases in the top of the seventh, but heavy rain postponed the remainder.

Wayne finished with three hits and three runs batted in.

Winston Walls picked up the win in relief.

Taylor County hosted Caverna on Friday and Fairdale over the weekend.

Taylor County opened its season with a 10-7, eight-inning loss to Garrard County on March 23.

Levi Smith, Aylette Cowherd and A.J. Wayne had two-hit games with Smith knocking in two runs and Cowherd homering.

The Cards notched their first win of the season 13-1 over Bardstown on March 24.

Blake Dudgeon, who went three innings to get the win, also hit a grand-slam home run while Tyler Yates had two hits and two RBI and Chase Roution had a two-run triple and Joel Hardesty homered.

Washington County edged the Cardinals 12-10 on March 30 despite three hits (two singles and a homer) from Smith and two hits from Hardesty, Wayne (three RBI) and James Clements.

Taylor County won its district opener 11-2 at Adair County on April 1.

Wayne carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning while Cowherd, Smith and Clements had two hits apiece.
