Taylor County fell behind 10-2, but tallied 21 straight points to highlight an 86-62 season-opening triumph over Washington County on Tuesday night.

But senior Josh Gumm scored 10 quick points for the Cardinals and Lloyd Stotts came off the bench for five points and an assist in a 40-second span.
Chase Cox had 13 of his 17 first-half points in the last 1:43 of the second quarter.
Cox led Taylor County with 29 points while Gumm had 17, Taylor Cox 10, Shane Morris eight and Stotts and Michael Coulter seven apiece.
Chase Cox also had seven assists and Coulter four while Taylor Cox had 10 rebounds, Morris nine and Chase Cox seven.
Taylor County hosts Elizabethtown tomorrow night in JV/varsity action and Campbellsville on Tuesday in a girl/boy twinbill.
