Taylor County High School is one of five unbeaten football teams in Class 4A and one of only 25 squads in Kentucky that are undefeated.
The Cardinals are joined by Warren East, Russell County, Knox Central and Fort Thomas Highlands in Class 4A while there are two unbeaten teams in Class A, two more in Class 2A, five in Class 3A, eight in Class 5A and three in Class 6A.
On the other side of things, there are also 24 squads in the state which have yet to taste victory during the 2012 gridiron campaign — four in Class A (including Campbellsville), four in Class 2A, six in Class 3A, five in Class 4A, one in Class 5A and four in Class 6A.
Campbellsville’s five losses have come to teams with combined records of 19-5 (vs. an A team, a AA squad, two 4A teams and a 5A unit) while the Eagles’ final five regular-season opponents are a combined 11-11. Taylor County’s four wins come over teams that are currently a combined 3-17 while the Cardinals’ final six foes are a combined 12-17.
