Coming off their lone loss of the season, Taylor County's Cardinals posted a convincing 89-51 home triumph over Bethlehem.
"We did a better job feeding the post," TCHS head coach Troy Young admitted. "Which was a point of emphasis after the Adair County game."
The Cards fell behind 7-0 and 10-2, but "finally woke up a little bit" to lead 21-14 at the first-quarter stop and 39-25 at halftime.
Taylor County put up 50 second-half points and Young was afforded the luxury of using his bench in its fourth win in five contests.
Chase Cox led a balanced scoring attack with 20 points, but it was the 18 and 13 points of inside players Taylor Cox and Shane Morris that impressed Young. Josh Gumm also added 14 points.
Chase Cox contributed six rebounds, five steals and four steals to his resume while Michael Coulter had five boards, four assists and three steals.
Taylor Cox was the top Cardinal boardsman with seven caroms while Chris Thomas collected five and Gumm and Lloyd Stotts had three assists apiece.
Taylor County plays at Green County tomorrow in a girl-boy doubleheader.
