Final week of regular-season play begins on Monday

Taylor County overcame a rare half-time deficit in a make-up game at North Hardin (6-19) on Wednesday and then posted win number 21 on the road at LaRue County on Friday night.
The Cardinals trailed the Trojans 30-21 at the intermission before rolling to a 44-19 second half and a 65-49 triumph.
Quentin Goodin scored 20 of his game-high 25 points in the second half while Caleb Wigginton had 13 of his 19 in the final two quarters.
Taylor County raced to a 20-4 lead in a 71-59 win at LaRue County as Austin Webster paced the Cards with 17 points, Goodin had 16 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals and six assists and David Sloan added 14 points and had six dish-outs.
The 21-5 Cardinals hosted Spencer County over the weekend and will visit Nelson County on Tuesday and have added a game at powerful Hopkinsville for Friday.
In other games on the local scene:
Campbellsville’s boys split games on Thursday and Friday — winning at Washington County 75-52 and losing at Bethlehem 55-39.
A.J. Vaught (13), Austin Hash (12) and Tyrion Taylor (11) paced the Eagles at Washington County (2-18) while Damontez Smith (19) and Hash (12 points and 10 rebounds) were the offensive weapons at Bethlehem (9-12).
Campbellsville is probably without starter Kendon Young for the rest of the season after the sophomore broke his hand in the Thursday clash.
The Eagles (4-21) host Caverna on Monday and Nelson County on Friday around a road trip to Green County on Tuesday.
Taylor County’s Lady Cardinals also split tilts — besting Thomas Nelson 61-51 on Thursday in the home finale and losing at LaRue County 69-37 on Friday.
Haley Wright paced TCHS with 18 points and Hannah Howard connected on four three-pointers for 12 points to avenge a loss to Thomas Nelson (15-10) while MaKayla Sabo had 12 at Hodgenville.
Kentucky Miss Basketball candidate and Western Kentucky University signee had 24 points for the Lady Hawks (17-6).
Taylor County finishes the regular-season play on Tuesday at Nelson County.
The Lady Eagles of Campbellsville dropped a pair of encounters — at Washington County 54-44 on Thursday and at home on Friday to Bethlehem 58-41.
Nena Barnett had 13 points at Washington County (5-15) and 19 vs. Bethlehem (9-9).
Vonnea Smith had a 10-point game vs. the Commanderettes and Brenna Wethington had seven points and 15 rebounds against the Banshees.
Jennifer Keene led Washington County with 25 points and 16 boards while Nick Brizendine had 18 points, five rebounds and assists.
The Lady Eagles play at Green County tomorrow and at Bullitt Central Friday with a home game vs. LaRue County on Thursday.
