Taylor County failed to hold onto three double-digit leads, but still managed a 60-55 triumph at home on Friday night vs. Elizabethtown.
Chase Cox tallied 10 early points to stake the Cardinals to a 15-2 lead and TCHS held a 19-6 advantage on Taylor Cox's putback starting the second quarter.
However, the Panthers (0-2 with a season-opening loss at Adair County) fought to within five (31-26) at the half and tied the contest at 33-33 early in quarter number three.
