Cardinals handle pesky Hart with 24-point fourth

-A A +A

Cox, Macon and Stotts reach double digits.

By Bobby Brockman

Leonard Macon's conventional three-point play late in the third quarter gave Taylor County the lead for good and the Cardinals posted a 67-51 home win over a scrappy Hart County squad on Tuesday.

Tyler Moss hit a pair of three-point hoops to end the third, and Chase Cox tallied nine of his game-high 21 points in the fourth.

Macon totaled 17 points while Lloyd Stotts added 11.

The Cardinals (11-5) host Marion County in a boy/girl doubleheader tomorrow with the homecoming queen crowned between games.
