It changes your life, and the lives of your friends, family and perhaps everyone who comes into contact with you.

After interviewing the Payne family (see today's front page story), I began thinking of how cancer has impacted my life.

Three of my four grandparents have had some form of cancer. Today, only one of those grandparents is still living.
