They came back to Campbellsville, this time to see their old classmates and the college campus.
Campbellsville University's homecoming celebration last weekend offered a football game, car and motorcycle show, food, children's games and crafts, alumni reunions, a theater production and a parade.
The theme for the celebration was "Back to the Future."
Events began Friday with a barbecue, reunions, banquet, pep rally and performance of "43 Plays for 43 Presidents." The play was also performed Saturday and Sunday.
The homecoming festival Saturday, an annual event run by student organizations who offer items for sale in order to make money for their organization's activities throughout the year, offered food, crafts, auctions, fingerprinting and inflatables for children.
Saturday's events also included a pancake breakfast, alumni art exhibit, float contest, sport scrimmages and campus tours.
This year's car show had a record 124 entries. Participants attended from as far away as Florida.
Campbellsville University Chorale alumni performed before the homecoming football game. The Tigers lost to Shorter College 24-14.
