Two people suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash Monday on Campbellsville Road in LaRue County.
At 7:30 a.m., a southbound 1985 Nissan 300 ZX driven by Genesis Feather, 18, of Campbellsville, crossed the center line and struck a northbound 1993 GMS Sierra pickup driven by David Marcum, 72, of Magnolia.
The head-on crash occurred near the intersection of O.O. Despain Road.
Feather's car came to rest on the left side of the roadway. Marcum's truck landed on its side in the middle of the roadway. Both drivers were trapped inside their vehicles and were extricated by emergency crews.
Both were flown to University of Louisville Hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries, according to Kentucky State Police Trooper Scott Rafferty.
A family member said Marcum suffered a broken hip and wrist and would need surgery. He is expected to be in the hospital several days.
LaRue County EMS, LaRue County and Buffalo fire departments, the LaRue County Sheriff's office and Constable Ira Bloyd Jr. also responded to the scene.
The scene was cleared about 9 a.m.
