Campbellsville schools honor academic achievers

Campbellsville Independent Schools recently announced its academic achievers for March. A boy and a girl from each school are named.

Those recognized include:

Campbellsville Elementary School

Enan Hagy is a third-grade student at CES. He is the son of Nicole Paige. His favorite teacher is Doretha Sanders and social studies is his favorite subject. He enjoys playing football and physical education class. His future plan is to become a football player.

Alexis Byers is also a third-grade student at CES. She is the daughter of Natalie Byers. Her favorite teacher is Patty Haley and math and social studies are her favorite subjects.  She enjoys playing softball, basketball, cheerleading and gymnastics. Her future plans are to become a teacher.

Campbellsville Middle School

Elizabeth Sullivan is a seventh-grade student at CMS. She is the daughter of Cheryl and Randy Sullivan. She enjoys the academic team and CMS Student Council. Her favorite subject is social studies and Michael Despain is her favorite teacher. Her future plans are to become a doctor.

Ryan Kearney is also a seventh-grade student at CMS. He is the son of Lisa and Lynn Kearney. He enjoys playing basketball, baseball and CMS Beta and KUNA clubs. Social studies is his favorite subject and Michael Despain is his favorite teacher. His future plans are to become a physical therapist.

Campbellsville High School

Katie Lefever is a sophomore at CHS. She is the daughter of Jennifer Lefever. She enjoys the academic team, Beta and student council. English is her favorite subject and Valerie Davis is her favorite teacher. Her future plans are to attend an out of state college and study to be a high school English teacher.

Chase Thomas is also a sophomore at CHS. He is the son of Kevin Johnson and Andrea Bradshaw. He enjoys playing baseball. Cheryl Dicken is his favorite teacher and math is his favorite subject. His future plans are to do something involving sports.
