Campbellsville native named KSP special operations trooper of the year

Trooper First Class Ricky Underwood, a Campbellsville native, was named Trooper of the Year for the special operations section of the Kentucky State Police recently.

Underwood joined the KSP in July 1989 and was assigned to the Columbia post for several years both as a trooper and a detective. The Columbia post covers several counties including Taylor.

Underwood is currently assigned to the Kentucky State Police canine section.
