Eagles stop three-game losing skid.

Campbellsville High School stopped its three-game losing streak by easily handling visiting McCreary Central 41-8 on Friday night.

The Eagles used the trio of Thomas Downs, Michael McCubbin and Zach Altman to rush for six touchdowns and a 41-0 half-time cushion.

Downs started the onslaught with a 16-yard run and then tallied another two-yard score in the first quarter.

McCubbin tallied from 16 yards out to start the second frame while Altman went in from eight yards before bursting in from one.

McCubbin finished the scoring with a 16-yard tally after Doug Bunch recovered a fumble.

McCubbin rushed for more than 100 yards and had two receptions for 52 yards. He touched the ball nine times and had eight double-digit productions.

Altman paced the CHS defense with 12 tackles while freshman Tashaun Hoskins and senior Cy Holt had eight apiece. Sophomores Joe McKenzie and Dennis Novak and senior Jeffrey Eastridge had interceptions for the Eagles
