A Campbellsville man managed to keep his rig from overturning after it was struck by a passenger vehicle on Campbellsville Road in LaRue County on Wednesday morning.
Randy Wayne of Campbellsville said "the hood flew up" on impact, so he "just held it straight and hoped for the best."
The rig, carrying a load of logs to Elizabethtown, crossed the roadway, jumped a culvert and crashed through a plank fence. It came to rest in Ron Rogers' front yard.
Buffalo firefighters responded to the scene.
