Campbellsville Christian Church will continue its 125th anniversary celebration on Sunday, April 26 with "Focus on the Past."

Services begin at 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. and will feature a worship pattern from the 1950s.

Guest speaker for the day will be former minister Paul W. Patton, who will present the first person portrayal of Alexander Campbell.

During the day, there will be a history room display as well as a display of vintage cars that would have provided transportation to forefathers in the faith. Longtime members of more than 50 years as well as the descendants of charter members will be recognized.

At 10:15 a.m., local historian Betty Jane Gorin-Smith will present "Life in Campbellsville in 1884," the year of the founding of the church.

Following the 11 a.m. service, there will be a fellowship dinner in the Family Life Center. Chicken, bread, vegetables and drinks will be provided. Members are asked to bring a salad, fruit or cookies.

Call the church office at 465-5571 to register attendance for the meal. An anniversary cake will be cut by the person present who has been a member the longest.

Former members and friends are invited to this celebration of the ministry of the church.
