After 43 years as an educator, including 27 years as Taylor County superintendent, Gary Seaborne will step down at the end of the current school year.
During the regular Taylor County Board of Education meeting Tuesday night, Seaborne announced that he would retire as superintendent effective June 30.
On Wednesday morning, Seaborne, who was on his way to Disney World with the Taylor County High School Show Choir, said the decision to retire wasn't easy.
