Taylor County Public Library's summer reading program ended with a bounce on Saturday.
This year's participants went to Kid-Wise for the last event of the summer to slide on inflatable slides, play basketball in a bounce house and more.
Though the number of children participating in the program was down this year, the number of books participants read was up, at more than 4,000.
Since participants surpassed the goal of reading 1,000 books, they will battle library staff members in a water fight at 1 p.m. Friday at the library.
