Bill Winfrey received the Taylor Regional Hospital Legend Award on Nov. 13 at the TRH Annual Service Awards Banquet at Campbellsville University.
Winfrey, a 27-year team member of Taylor Regional Hospital, is director of the environmental services department. The following was said about Winfrey on his nomination form:
"Bill is always looking for ways to improve our facility in the environmental services area. He takes pride in his position and is very conscientious about how each team member performs every ESD task. You never know when you might see Bill walking down the hall, it may be day shift, 7 p.m., 3 a.m. or maybe even in the middle of the night on the weekend."
He is married to Bonnie Winfrey and he has one son, Jerome, and four stepchildren, Chris, Nikkie, Briana and Derek. Winfrey is a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church where he serves on the trustee board, the adult choir and the brotherhood choir. He has participated in the "A Few Good Men" program since it started.
Other nominees for the awarded included Kathy Bagby, Sissie Bennett, Lisa Gupton, Loretta Hash, Karen Newton, Doreda Price and Betty Jo Wheatley.
