Bethel First Presbyterian to host Precept study

Where are men and women - young and old - who are strong and courageous? Men and women who do not want to be dismayed - shaken by the storms and conflicts of life, but strong enough in character to stand for what God says is right and true? Men and women who know God, believe God and are going to get a grip on God and everything he has for them in this life.

Certified by Precept Ministries International, Carol Freeman will be leading a seven-week study of the book Joshua. Classes begin on Thursday, Oct. 9 and will continue through Nov. 20. Times are 1 to 3 p.m. or 7 to 9 p.m. The location is Bethel First Presbyterian Church, 502 E. Main St. in Campbellsville.

Jack Arthur and his wife, Kay, founded Precept Ministries in 1970. Kay Arthur is the author of the Precept Upon Precept and In & Out Bible Study Series. From their years of diligent study and teaching experience, Kay and the staff have developed these unique, inductive courses.

Precept studies are classroom-style with the first half of the class devoted to leader and student interaction. Participants with questions or comments about the weekly studies will have an opportunity to discuss them during the first half of the class. The second half of the class will consist of a 45-60 minute video of Kay Arthur teaching on the current week's lesson.
