Bengals, Cowboys and Titans improve to 2-0 in Campbellsville Community Club youth football

Three teams remained undefeated after week two of Campbellsville Community Club Youth Football.

In the Senior League, the Cowboys edged the Steelers 12-6 in double overtime while the Bengals improved to 2-0 with a 42-0 thrashing of the Steelers.

The Cowboys got touchdown runs of 4 and 5 yards by Kendon Young to triumph in two extra periods over the Eagles.

After a scoreless regulation, Young put the Cowboys up 6-0 before Eagle defenders Hunter Christie and Justice Gregory stopped the conversion try.

Caleb Lee tied the game with a five-yard run by the Eagles with Ezra Oliver sending the game to a second OT with his conversion stop.

Young's second TD was set up by Zach Richerson's interception.

Quentin Goodin's four-touchdown day led the Bengals past the Steelers.

Goodin tallied on runs of 6, 24 and 40 in the first half along with Taylor Spoon's one-yard TD run and a five-yard score by Conner South.

Adam Godby and South added conversions runs before Goodin tacked on a late touchdown.

The Steelers got first-down yardage on a pass play from Shay Stone to Grant Adams, and Ryan Ford recovered a fumble.

Trevon Haralson had an interception and A.J. Vaught a fumble recovery for the Bengals.

STANDINGS - Bengals 2-0, Cowboys 2-0, Eagles 0-2, Steelers 0-2.

In Junior League action, the Titans clipped the Cardinals 16-14 while the Colts needed an overtime to upend the Saints 14-12.

The Titans moved to 2-0 with Lane Bottoms' eight-yard TD run and Arick Groves' conversion run for an 80 start.

The Cardinals made it 8-6 on Jake Smith's 22-yard tally.

Chandler Stewart scored for the Titans on a 54-yard run and Groves added another conversion.

Tyler Franklin kept the Cardinals close with a 40-yard TD run and hit Marcus Moore on the two-point pass.

But the Titan defense led by Darius Bell and Devin McGlone closed out the win.

Collin Watson had several defensive stops for the Cards.

The Colts edged the Saints to square their record at 1-1.

Tyrion Taylor put the Saints up with an 8-yard TD run before DeJhon Taylor tied the game on a six-yard run for the Colts set up by Aubrey Hunt's 30-yard fourth-quarter run.

The Colts scored first in OT on an L.J. Haralson TD run and conversion.

Tyrion Taylor tallied for the Saints, but they could not convert the conversion.

Desmond Parsley and Darien Bishop led the Colt defense.

STANDINGS - Titans 2-0, Colts 1-1, Saints 1-1, Cardinals 0-2.
