Josh Davis, 34, the son of Willie and Donna Davis, has been diagnosed with leukemia and the benefit is being hosted to raise money for medical expenses. Davis is being treated at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

The event will be at the Taylor County Middle School cafeteria from 5 to 8 p.m.

There will be soup and chili, sandwiches, desserts and drinks available for $5 donations.

Frankie Hansford and John Kessler will oversee a live auction. There will also be a silent auction. Auction items include a homemade quilt, a basketball signed by Rick Pitino, two nights at Green River Marina Floating Cabins, a day of golfing for four at the Big Springs Country Club and more.

Tickets are $5 and are available at Taylor County Bank's main office, United Citizens Bank, Chandler's Office Supply, Lil T's Traffik Stop, Curves or at the door.

Checks should be written to the Josh Davis Fund.
