Darren Ballou's left baseline three-pointer splashed the net with 1.3 seconds left and Taylor County could not get a timeout and the Adair County Indians repeated as the boys' 20th District Tournament champions 47-44 on the Cardinals' home court.
"It was a fun night," admitted TCHS head coach Troy Young. "It just didn't end quite right."
In front of a standing-room-only crowd, Taylor County (19-11) trailed 6-0 early on a pair of threes from Indian junior Corey Helm.
However, Taylor County fought back to lead 7-6 when Chris Thomas scored on a Chase Cox assist.
