29th H&W Classic belongs to Spitz/Central/Mizuno

Spitz Seeds/Central Paving/Mizuno, based in Mt. Washington, defeated Team Toolbox (Elizabethtown) to capture the 29th Annual H&W Softball Classic on Saturday night at Veterans Memorial Park.

Spitz lost to Walkoff/Bugs (Nashville, Tenn.) in pool play but bounced back to upend Miken Merchants (Springfield) 25-14 in the single-elimination tourney.

Team Toolbox, which lost to Spitz in pool action, downed Walkoff/Bugs twice to get another shot at Spitz.
